In history, we explored the seven Anglo-Saxon kingdoms—then brought our own to life through drama. New rulers, laws, traditions, and myths… and with them, clashes over land and power! 🏰⚔️ @StJosephStBede #sjsbHistory
🕊️ To celebrate the International Day of Peace, our @C_A_SJSB and @GIFTteamSJSB shared some of their favourite scripture about peace and translated the word ‘peace’ into different languages #peacebeginswithus @STOC_CAT @StJosephStBede #sjsbCLM 🕊️
Class 9 wrapped up forest school for the term with a session full of play, climbing, crafting, and fire-cooked s’mores 🍫🔥 We painted a mural for the rabbits 🐇 and soaked in the sights of the season on our way back in 🌿🎨 @FarmSjsb @StJosephStBede #sjsbForestSchool
Our newly trained Play Leaders @StJosephStBede had a fantastic session with @BurySchoolGames exploring leadership, teamwork and loads of fun games! They’re excited to bring their energy and ideas to the playground and share the fun with the whole school 🎾🏀 #sjsbpe #sjsbpshe
🌍 On #InternationalDayOfPeace, our GIFT Team led us in worship, reflecting on how we can act now for a more peaceful world. Around our peace pole, we offered our peaceful actions to God, then we thought about what a peaceful world means to us.✨🕊️ #sjsbWorship @StJosephStBede
In science, we began with a game of “Guess the Baby” featuring some of our staff! 👶 Then we explored the first year of human life—discussing what babies need, researching key milestones and creating a timeline of average development for a baby. #sjsbscience @StJosephStBede
🌿 In Forest School we embraced ‘The Lost Words’, wove bird feeders from willow & bramble, identified trees by their leaves, made conker jewellery & leaf bouquets, relaxed in hammocks, and fired clay pinch pots—next week we’ll see how they turned out! 🔥🍂 @StJosephStBede
🗳️ Our classroom transformed into a polling station today as Class 9 cast their votes for their new school council representative on the International Day of Democracy. After hearing each candidate’s pitch, they made their vote count and their voice heard! 🇺🇳 #sjsbschoolcouncil
For our first forest school session, Miss Murphy helped us connect with nature whilst listening to The Lost Words by Robert MacFarlane. We hunted for conkers, crafted characters and jewellery, shaped clay pinch pots and had fun playing together. 🍃🪵🍂🌰 @FarmSjsb @StJosephStBede
